What is SATT?

A planning department works with citizens and community leaders to build a consensus on how a city should grow, both in the short and long term. This is accomplished through the coordination of a variety of land planning functions that range from creating a vision for the future (i.e., general plans) and reviewing new development proposals (i.e., discretionary actions) to ensure they reflect this vision.

When working with planning departments, you are seated across the table from an entity that has power like no other.  One, they have a monopoly position because you cannot go to a competitor and ask for a land use entitlement or building permit. Second, they have special governmental privileges starting with police power.

The mission of SATT is to help you change the balance of power by getting you a “Seat at the Table”.   SATT helps you obtain entitlements (Conditional Use Permits, Variances, Zoning Administrator Determinations, Zoning Administrator Adjustments, Density Bonus, Site Plan Review, Design Review, Specific Plan Adjustments and Exceptions, and more) and building permits from the City of Los Angeles or from the city where you live, work, or invest.
